I hail from the wonderful city of Buffalo, NY. I moved to Nova in 2013 to work at New Life Christian Church and the nZone. I started working in the fitness industry later that year and started coaching CrossFit in 2021. I do CrossFit because of the relationships I’ve built through it. The community is a gift from God. CrossFit also gives me goals to pursue in my fitness life. Outside the gym you can find me reading, biking, running, praying and nervously watching Buffalo Bills games.

Hey all! I am active duty Air Force stationed in the D.C. area. I have been in the military 16 years and served as a physical training leader at most of the duty stations I have been to. In 2013 I began my CrossFit journey and obtained my Level 1 in 2018. I have had the opportunity to coach in Japan, Korea, and now here.

Outside of work and CrossFit my priorities are serving the Lord and being the best husband and father I can be. I lead the Men’s Alliance Ministry for New Life on Saturday’s leading men through tough workouts and real world devotions. I like to play golf, video games, help others succeed, and watch Arizona Cardinals Football!

Born and raised in the Northern Virginia area, I lived most of my life (late into my 20s) as an overweight person. Through fitness and a lot of faith, I have lost over 170+ lbs. After finding CrossFit, I have developed and maintained a healthy relationship with my body, by practice of fitness, and food, by practice of nutrition. I’m a huge fan of music, sports (LA Kings and Minnesota Vikings) and COFFEE. I also serve as a worship leader and a Starbucks barista.

I am a native of Albany, NY and have spent much of my adult life in NoVA. I first tried CrossFit in 2015 and never looked back. The structured workouts and new movements challenged and fascinated me. I joined CrossFit Hydraulic in 2018, because of the fun, welcoming and encouraging environment, and began coaching here in 2020. I gravitate toward workouts with a barbell or running, and love training with new athletes. When not spending my evenings at CrossFit Hydraulic, I work as a Program Manager in the Government Contracting industry, enjoy live music and motorcycle riding.

I’ve enjoyed various fitness programs my entire life, but in 2020 I tried CrossFit and fell in love with the foundational movements and community. To me the beauty of CrossFit is that everybody can do it! I love motivating and inspiring people of all fitness levels and abilities to master natural and functional movements in a safe environment. It’s fun to be able to modify movements when needed so everyone can participate in our classes and achieve their own personal goals in a group class. I’m full of positive energy that brings my classes together for a fun and educational experience. When I’m not coaching, I’m taking a CrossFit class, spending time with my family and dog, making healthy treats or working at a farmers market. Come join me for a class!

CrossFit started for me as mentally tolerable means of working out. Over the last several years it has transformed into both a passion and a side gig. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and continually adding new skills to my repertoire have long held a place at the core of my personal tenets, and what better way to get your daily socialization than by yelling at people to work harder?

Cardio is my strong suit, thrusters are my nemesis, and anything with gymnastics is just fun.  Feel free to stop by the box to talk about anything—CrossFit, general fitness questions, food, health, cooking, life goals, or (almost) anything else—I’m happy to help.

I have been an athlete since before I can remember whether it’s been baseball, diving or surfing. More recently in my fitness career I have had the privilege of teaching CrossFit at two gyms, which has been such an amazing and educational experience. My goal is to live the happiest, healthiest and longest life I can. I truly believe that fitness and nutrition is the best way to achieve that and I am honored to be given the opportunities to help anyone else trying to achieve these, or any other goals, through fitness. Outside of nZone I am a college student. I’m currently a student at Longwood University, but come back to coach Crossfit Hydraulic and Group Fit classes when I’m on breaks from school.
